Elle montre une lutte physique chaotique où un homme, qui s'avérera plus tard armé, intervient, est aspergé de gaz poivré, tombe au sol, puis est activement maîtrisé tandis que les agents de l'ICE interviennent pour reprendre le contrôle.
L'arme à feu est importante, et les médias le passent sous silence. Lors de la fusillade contre la police des frontières à Minneapolis, le suspect était armé d'un SIG Sauer P320 AXG Combat, un pistolet 9 mm à grande capacité avec canon fileté, chargeur étendu de 20 à 21 cartouches et viseur SIG Romeo – un équipement coûtant entre 1 500 et 2 000 dollars. Ce n’était pas une arme bon marché.
Lors d'une altercation avec un suspect armé, des policiers ont aperçu une arme et crié « arme ! ». Conformément à la jurisprudence établie en matière de légitime défense, les policiers ont droit de se fier à la perception raisonnable de leurs collègues. Ils n'ont pas à vérifier personnellement la menace.
Dès lors qu'une arme à feu apparaît pendant une résistance active, le critère juridique est simple : la perception raisonnable d'un usage imminent de la force mortelle. Ce critère était rempli en l'espèce. L'activisme consistant à figer l'action ne saurait prévaloir sur la dynamique du temps réel, et la loi n'oblige pas les policiers à attendre d'être abattus. Il s'agissait d'un usage tragique, mais légitime de la force.
Mais, l'homme à apporté une arme dans une manifestation violente, pourquoi ?
Il y a quelques jours à peine, Tim Walz escaladait le portail de sa propriété, exhortant les manifestants à continuer de semer le trouble et de combattre l'ICE.
Walz : « Aux Américains qui regardent ceci, j'ai une question pour vous : de quel côté voulez-vous être ? Du côté d'un gouvernement fédéral tout-puissant qui peut tuer, blesser, menacer et kidnapper ses citoyens dans la rue ? Ou du côté d'une infirmière de l'hôpital des anciens combattants qui est morte en témoignant d'un tel gouvernement ? Ou du côté d'une mère dont les derniers mots ont été : "Je ne suis pas fâchée contre toi." »
Un homme armé vient d'attaquer des agents et a été tué.

It was not an inexpensive weapon.
During an altercation with an armed suspect, officers spotted a weapon and shouted “Gun!” According to established legal precedents regarding self-defense, officers have the right to rely on the reasonable perception of their colleagues. They don't have to personally verify the threat.
Once a firearm appears during active resistance, the legal criterion is simple: the reasonable perception of an imminent use of deadly force. This criterion was met in this case. Activism aimed at freezing the action cannot override the dynamics of real time, and the law does not require police officers to wait to be shot. This was a tragic, but legitimate, use of force.
But why did the man bring a weapon to a violent protest?
Just a few days ago, Tim Walz was climbing the gate of his property, urging protesters to continue causing unrest and fighting ICE.
Walz: "To the Americans watching this, I have a question for you: Which side do you want to be on?" Which side do you side with: an all-powerful federal government that can kill, injure, threaten, and kidnap its citizens in the street? Or a nurse at the VA hospital who died testifying about such a government? Or a mother whose last words were, "I'm not mad at you."
An armed man just attacked officers and was killed.
